It may have become a routine for you to enjoy a morning coffee or a tea in between lectures, and if this sounds like your day-to-day habit, then a reusable cup is definitely worth thinking about.
The more you sip, the more you save the planet and more cash!
How to get started
✅ Bring your own or purchase a University of Nottingham reusable cup at our cafés
✅ Receive a 20p discount on your drink
All proceeds go directly into the university's Environmental Initiatives Fund to aid local waste-reduction projects. Whether you bring your own cup or buy a UoN-branded reusable cup, you'll help reduce single-use cups and save money (and the planet!).
Things to consider before buying a reusable cup 💡
1. Cheap vs high-quality reusable cups
Cheaper cups might seem like a good alternative, but they often break, leak or get left at the back of your cupboard. Investing in a good-quality cup means it'll last you many years, not months. Higher-quality cups include brands like Chilli, YETI, Hydro Flask, Stanley, or UoN cups.
2. Think about size
If you love coffees like flat whites and macchiatos, you won't need a large cup. But if you are an iced coffee drinker, maybe something bigger would suit you or a UoN cold cup.
3. How often will you use it?
If you're buying a coffee every day from our outlets, or you like to carry a bottle of water with you, it's definitely worth investing.
